Dendera Temple Complex – Temple of Hathor

Arrive in Dendera around 8:30 AM. Explore the magnificent Temple of Hathor, goddess of love, music, and joy. Mostly built during the late Ptolemaic era under Ptolemy XII and Cleopatra VII, the temple is renowned for its vibrant astronomical ceilings, crypts, and the famous Zodiac.

Abydos – Temple of Seti I

Continue your journey to Abydos, home to the stunning Temple of Seti I, completed by Ramses II. This sacred site, located in Sohag Governorate, was one of the most important religious destinations in ancient Egypt.

Abydos was believed to be the entrance to the afterlife, making it a major pilgrimage center—much like Mecca is to modern Muslims.

Enjoy lunch at a local restaurant before returning to Luxor.
